Meet Dr. Chris Callison

Chris qualified from Peninsula Dental School in 2013 achieving his Bachelor of dental surgery with honours. On graduating he was awarded both the Deans Gold Medal Award and the Primary Dental Care Prize. Recognition of both his dedication and talent as a young dentist.
After qualifying and completing his dental foundation year, Chris worked as a Senior House Officer in the Maxillofacial department of Torbay Hospital. Here he was involved in caring for patients with complex health needs, and built his experience performing oral surgery.
In 2015 Chris moved back to working in general dentistry in a Devon practice. He also took on part-time roles teaching students at Plymouth dental school, and working within the Torbay Hospital Dental Department. It was through his experiences in these roles that Chris first found his passion for orthodontics.
Chris currently splits his time between caring for his own patients at Newton Abbot Dental, and working in the Orthodontic Department at Torbay Hospital. Chris provides both high quality general dentistry and orthodontic treatments. He is a fully accredited provider of Invisalign and Six -Month Smiles.
His patients love his infectious smile and relaxed, caring Northern manner. Chris always takes pride in his work, and strives for perfection with all his patients.
In his spare time Chris enjoys keeping fit and spending time outdoors enjoying the beautiful scenery Devon has to offer. Chris enjoys cycling, wake boarding, kayaking and fishing.
Meet Dr. Andrew Rochester

GUM DISEASE (PERIODONTOLOGY) AND ORAL SURGERY
Dr Andrew Rochester completed his dental degree at Peninsula Dental School, Plymouth. Since then he has focused on completing further training order that he is able to deliver more advanced dentistry, specifically in the areas of oral surgery, gum disease (periodontology), and dental implants.
Andrew is currently completing a Masters Degree in Periodontology and is able to treat patients with complex periodontal problems. This means he is able provide treatment for advanced gum disease including surgery where required. This includes completing gum grafting for recession and can help improve the appearance of front teeth – this is particularly useful when having crowns or veneers placed on those front teeth. Lastly, he can complete regenerative surgery – replacing bone lost thanks to periodontal disease, with synthetic bone. This can be completed depending on the individual circumstances of each patient.

Ed qualified from the Newcastle University in 2018 and joined the Team at Newton Abbot Dental in September 2021.
Ed believes all treatment should be patient centred, tailoring all treatment plans to the individual and works together with patients to choose the best options for them.
Ed regularly undertakes continuing training and has enrolled on the postgraduate Restorative Dentistry MSc course at Plymouth University starting in early 2022.
He is passionate about his work and hopes his calm approach makes his patients feel at ease during all of their visits.
Outside of work, Ed enjoys paddle boarding, cycling , walking in the countryside, and spending time with friends and family.

Dr Manuel Geraldes was trained at leading universities in the United Kingdom and Portugal, which
include The University of Chester, ISCSSEM in Lisbon and The University of Plymouth.
He qualified in 2003 and has a vast number of years of experience in all aspects of dentistry. In 2006
he moved to United Kingdom, where he developed his clinical skills. After a few years working as a
general dentist, he has found his true passion, Endodontics (root canal treatments) and
Periodontology (gum disease and implants). His focus is always to try to save the teeth by providing
the best possible treatment.
After completing an Endodontology postgraduate certificate course at Dominic Hassal Academy in
Birmingham, he completed the Masters in Endodontology at University of Chester and is currently
working towards completing a second Masters in Periodontology at The University of Plymouth.
The experience enables Dr Geraldes to provide individual tailored solutions on case-by-case basis. He
combines true professionalism with gentle approach and perfectionism, ensuring that even the most
anxious patients are made to feel relaxed and reassured.
As well as full time practice, he has also taken on a role of clinical supervisor at The University of
Plymouth, where he tutors undergraduate dental students.
Meet Dr. Montse Galiano

Dr. Galiano is an Official Speaker and Clinical Advisor for the Invisalign system.
Dr. Galiano is a qualified Invisalign Provider since 2009, and holds the Invisalign ‘Platinum Elite II’ status. She is one of the most experienced providers in the UK with almost 800 cases completed to date.
Dr. Galiano is also a Clinical Advisor and Mentor of Invisalign for Aligner Consulting, teaching and advising doctors in the UK and Spain on Invisalign orthodontic treatments, with over 1,000 treatment plans reviewed per year. She is also Ambassador of Aligner Global Community in the UK.
Dr. Galiano graduated from the University of Barcelona (UB) in 1998 and has more than 20 years of experience in Orthodontics, Cosmetic Dentistry, Pediatric Dentistry and General Dentistry.
In 1999 Dr. Galiano qualified in Orthodontics in Sitges by CEAR.
Dr. Galiano was also attending for two years a Masters Degree in Orthodontics and Paediatric Dentistry from International University of Catalunya (UIC), finishing in 2006.
She also holds a diploma in Cosmetic Dentistry and Veneers from Autran Dental Academy in 2007.
Meet Emily Wells
PRACTICE MANAGER AND LEAD DENTAL NURSE

Emily joined the team in September 2021. She has been nursing for 15 years, with a vast experience in all aspects of dentistry.
Emily Leads the nursing team at Newton Abbot Dental, passing on her knowledge to the nurses, whilst supporting them closely.
She has completed her Radiography, Sedation and Dental Impression taking qualifications, and is trained to assist in the specialist fields doing Implants, Oral surgery, Endodontics, Orthodontics, and Periodontics.
Emily is also the Practice Manager for Newton Abbot Dental. Her passion for the dental profession shows in the dedication to her care for our patients and for the team.
In her spare time Emily enjoys competing her two horses Midnight and Willow, and spending time with her friends and family.
